Some Things | Vol. 49: Tiny Gains

Some Things | Vol. 49: Tiny Gains
“If you get one percent better each day for one year, you’ll end up thirty-seven times better by the time you’re done.”
We are all familiar with the old saying, “you have to walk before you run,” which essentially means: learn the basics before tackling something more advanced.
We often convince ourselves that change is only meaningful if there is some large, visible outcome associated with it (especially New Year resolutions). However, the accumulation of numerous small improvements is often a sure-fire way to building confidence & long-term accomplishing goals.
Here are Some Things to inspire you to be 1% better this week:

  1. Struggling to shake off bad habits? - Mel Robbins has some practical advice via Spotify
  2. Nas is now allowing his fans to profit from streaming his music via Music Business Worldwide
  3. Did Apple just claim that their watch saves lives? via Youtube
  4. NFTs with the iconic Swoosh? Nike is embracing the metaverse with their latest acquisition via BOF
  5. A different way of doing things - These design trends are set to take 2022 by storm via It’s Nice That
  6. He didn’t build Amazon or Tesla, but is the richest man who ever lived via Boss Hunting
  7. Learn about “the undisputed birthplace of punk rock" with Manhattan photographer David Godlis via Vimeo
