Some Things | Vol. 52: The Year of the Tiger
“It is better to live for one day as a tiger than to live for a thousand years as a sheep.”
Said a wise Tibetan Monk, & we wholeheartedly agree. As we approach the Lunar New Year we’ve been thinking about brands, businesses & creators who’ve adopted this attitude; taking a brave & often bold approach, with no guarantee of success & yet they’ve triumphed - blazing a trail to inspire others.
So here are Some Things to inspire you to be brave this year:

  1. It doesn’t get much more bold (or Lunar) than sending Adidas BOOST into Space via Adidas
  2. Vans honuors pioneer Tony Alva (the oldest professional skateboarder) in this epic documentary via Youtube.
  3. Risks are paying off for the NBA - Top Shot their digital trading cards platform has generated over $880,734,082.38 in NFT sales via Vimeo
  4. ‘Da Great BOLO exchange’- UK streetwear brands created products that can’t be bought at any price via Complex
  5. This week saw Nigo debut his first collection for Kenzo at Paris Fashion Week. Described as ‘a menswear Mount Rushmore’ his tenure at the helm of the fashion house looks set to be a bold one via Nylon
